There are more than 80 types of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia and restless legs syndrome. We understand that these conditions can significantly affect healthy sleep–and this, in turn, impacts your overall health, safety and quality of life.
The Sleep Center at Carolinas Hospital System - Marion performs sleep studies on children, starting at age 12, through adults. Sleep Studies at the Sleep Center take place in comfortable, home-like rooms.
Lack of sleep can impair your ability to think, make decisions and perform basic tasks. If sleep deprivation persists, it can also lead to significant physical problems such as heart disease and hypertension.
If you think you may be suffering from a sleep disorder, talk to your primary physician to see if a sleep study can help.
